Cape Town City has announced the contract extension of defender, Taariq Fielies.

The new deal will see him stay at the club until June 2025.

Fielies joined the ‘Citizens’ in July 2017 from Milano United.

Since his arrival at the Cape club, he has played 128 games, finding the back of the net on six occasions and weighed in four assists.

The 29-year-old centre-back also played for Ajax Cape Town before joining Milano in 2013.

“I’m just happy to have signed a new contract with the club and I’m here to help the team,” Fielies told the media.

“We have reached another final, so I hope we can hold on from that and I believe we can achieve more this season.”
