Zambia national team coach Milutin Sredojevic says there is a lot of competition within the Chipolopolo camp, as they prepare for the three upcoming international friendly matches.
Chipolopolo will take on Malawi, Kenya, and South Africa next month.
The squad is currently in a camp with 40 players who will be trimmed to 23 by Sunday ahead of the matches.
“When you hear 40 players practical you have four players per position fighting in competitiveness is something that we are looking at from every player first thing that we need to do,” said Sredojevic.
“If you want to write the letter you need to know the alphabet if you want to play football, you need to know the corporations of the players because we are here setting ourselves as a platform that will make us put in practice the game model that we want to play because except looking for the good performances and results for Zambians.
“We are looking forward together with the technical team to not allow stolen unturned and to bring the players in the best possible shape in order to be able to play these three matches but also to go back to their clubs when we shall monitor them where we shall see how they are developing in communication with their coaches and whatsoever.” He said.
Zambia will host the Flames of Malawi, before taking on Bafana Bafana (away) and the Harambee Stars of Kenya (away).
