First goal for Matthews in Sweden

SA forward Tashreeq Matthews is off the mark in Sweden and Gift Links has secured European football as we wrap up the weekend action.

Both Matthews & Le Roux started and lasted 80 minutes for Varbergs BoIS in the Swedish Allsvenskan with Matthews scoring the first goal for Varbergs BoIS in a 3-3 draw with Elfsborg on Sunday afternoon – his first league goal of the season.

Ayer came on as a 80th minute substitute replacing Matthews. Varbergs BoIS are now 7th on the log with 15 points after 11 games.

DARREN SMITH & AYABULELA KONQOBE

The SA duo continued to torment defenders in Finland with Konqobe netting his 5th goal of the season while his compatriot Smith netted his 4th in Ekenas IF’s a 2-0 victory over Kajaani in the Finnish second division.

KGOTSO MASANGANE

The midfielder played the whole 90 minutes but couldn’t help FS Metta overturn a two-goal deficit as they lost 2-0 against Spartaks Lurmana in the Latvian top tier on Sunday.
