First Touch look to return to winning ways in the SNWL

First Touch Ladies are a team hurting after suffering a disheartening 11-1 defeat at the hands of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies in the Safa National Women’s League (SNWL) last Saturday.

However, they are determined to pick themselves up from the disappointment.

Led by the experienced Banyana Banyana international Noko Matlou with over 150 caps, First Touch Ladies will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they tackle third-placed Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies at Seshego Stadium in Polokwane, kickoff at 15:00.

First Touch won three consecutive games, beating Thunderbirds Ladies 4-1, Tsunami Queens 2-0 and the University of Western Cape (UWC Ladies) 2-1 before losing to Sundowns Ladies in their most recent game.

With 17 goals and 27 assists, Matlou who is the captain of the team has proven to be an instrumental player for the Limpopo-based side.

First Touch are currently fourth on the table with 32 points, seven behind their opponents on Saturday, Celtic Ladies.
