Former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach and Black Stars defender John Paintsil has lost his mother.
The 38-year-old took to social media to announce that his mother Juliana Paintsil died on Tuesday after a short illness.
“Sweet Mother, Sweet Mother, I was heart broken to see you leaving us yesterday. And our heart still hurt mum…you did so well to set a good standard for us all. Mother, we say Ayikoooooo nammie. Go well mother….we Love you ahhh ahh ahh😟😟😭😭🙏 1957 to 2020… REST IN PEACE MOTHER 🙏🙏😭🙏🤲.” Posted Paintsil .
The Ghanaian Football Association also issued a statement this morning sending their condolences to the former Leicester City, Fulham, West Ham United and Maritzburg United player.
Paintsil is currently a co-owner of Ghanaian Premier League side Stallions FC.
He made 89 appearances for the Black Stars between 2001 and 2013.
