Cape Town Spurs have announced their third signing of the transfer window in former Chippa United midfielder Buyani Sali ahead of the 2020/21 GladAfrica Championship campaign.
Since rebranding from Ajax Cape Town, CT Spurs have been bolstering their squad with experienced campaigners as they aim to return to South Africa’s top-flight.
Sali joins CT Spurs on a one-year deal with an option to extend by another season as he follows the new arrivals of Lerato Manzini and Riyaad Norodien.
Centre-back Junior Sibande also penned a new deal at the Western Cape-based side.
The 31-year-old Sali last played for Free State Stars and spent most of his playing career in the colours of Chippa with over 100 appearances for the club and Polokwane City. He has plenty of experience across South Africa’s top two divisions.
Sali was born in Cape Town and first came into prominence at Chippa United when they were still based in the Western Cape province.
Head coach Vladislav Heric and his assistant Ian Taylor will lead CT Spurs in the upcoming second-tier league season.
