ABC Motsepe League side North West University Vaal have secured the services of left-winger Eric Ntlaba.
Ntlaba hails from Sharpville, a township situated in southern Gauteng.
The 25-year-old footballer played for Mamelodi Sundowns Development Academy where he had his playing days at the MultiChoice Diski Challenge and went on to play for the feeder team M Tigers in the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League.
‘Bayano,’ as he is popularly known, had his spell cut short immediately after the 2020 ABC Motsepe League National Playoffs runners up Pretoria Callies gained promotion to the GladAfrica Championship.
“Well, they are a better team and I have known the coach from an early age, he’s the one who developed me to go to Sundowns,” says Ntlaba.
“So, after I parted ways with Callies I decided to go back to where I started, hoping I can get back to my feet again.”
The enthusiastic winger is eager to add value to his new club and help them gain promotion to the first division.
“My goal is still the same you know, gaining promotion and playing at the highest level. I wanted to add value to the team and hopefully, we play in the GladAfrica next season,” he adds.
The NWU Vaal are a young ambitious team under the tutelage of Tebello Kheswa with the aim to get promoted to the GladAfrica Championship this season.
