Freese leaves AmaZulu

FARPost can confirm that AmaZulu have released coach, Allan Freese.

The former Highlands Park mentor was appointed in September to work under Ayanda Dlamini, who AmaZulu say “voluntarily” stepped down recently.

As expected, Freese has no place in new coach Benni McCarthy’s technical team.

McCarthy has the liberty to assemble his own technical team and according to FARPost sources, a decision has been made to let Freese go.

The former Bafana Bafana striker has apparently opted to bring in former striker and his Bafana teammate, Siyabonga Nomvethe.

Also expected to return to the club is Usuthu’s former goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs, who’s likely to step in as goalkeeper coach.
