FUFA Women Super League returns after one-year suspension

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) Women Super League roars back to life after a one-year suspension.

The last edition of the women’s league was halted just after the COVID-19 outbreak, with no team awarded the championship.

The league will be played in two streams, with Group A playing from 19 – 25 April, while Group B takes over from 26 April – 1 May 2021.

“It will be one group at a time as we don’t have enough space at Njeru. The top two teams of each group qualify for the semifinals,” said FUFA Deputy CEO Decolus Kiiza.

“The semifinals and final will be played on 3 and 5 May respectively.”
