TS Galaxy eyeing Masutha

GladAfrica Championship side TS Galaxy are preparing to replace former head coach Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela with another experienced campaigner in Joel Masutha.

The Mpumalanga-based side is currently without a coach after parting ways with Malesela recently following their 3-0 loss to Absa Premiership club Chippa United in the last 32 of the Nedbank Cup.

“Dan Malesela, has decided to stand down in his role as head coach with immediate effect following a string of poor results which has seen the club lie 12th in the Glad Africa Championship table and also exit the Nedbank Cup,” the club statement read.

According to a FARPost reliable source at the club, ‘The Rockets’ are considering bringing in Masutha.

Contacted for a comment, the ex-Black Leopards and Real Kings mentor said, “No, I know nothing. At this stage I don’t know anything about that. No one has contacted me.

“Eish, you know if you are not working, when you are job hunting you won’t close doors to anyone. At this stage I don’t know to be honest, I’m at home at the moment,” Masutha said.

Former Kaizer Chiefs Nigerian defender Muisi Ajao will hold the coaching reins on an interim basis at Galaxy, assisted by Essau Mtsweni.
