News coming from Zimbabwe says GladAfrica Championship outfit TS Galaxy have lost out on signing Highlanders defensive stalwart Peter Muduhwa.

According to reports from Zimbabwe, the Nedbank Cup defending champions are not prepared to pay for the player but only keen to sign him on a free. The 26-year-old’s contract with Highlanders expires on 31 December 2020.

Last season Highlanders are said to have faced a similar situation with Stellenbosch FC for Tinashe Makande.

“I’m in South Africa visiting my brother who is not feeling well and will be coming back home next week. There was a time when I got a call from someone saying TS Galaxy were interested in my services, but I told them to speak to Highlanders. I don’t know what happened after that,” Muduhwa was quoted by Zimbabwean publication Chronicles.

FARpost contacted Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi for comment, and he had this to say, “He trained with us for three days. He couldn’t impress our technical team.”
