The Young Brave Warriors of Namibia produced a magnificent display to outwit the Young Flames, 2-1 in their second match on monday.
Malawi U20 opened the scoring only for Namibia U20 to equalize through Juninho Jantze. Then a sublime finish from captain Giovani Kaninab ensured the Young Brave Warriors get to halftime in the lead.
The pulsating encounter entered the second stanza with the same intensity from the first half, as both sets of teams continued to have a go at each other.
In the end, Namibia stood firm to collect the valuable points, and in the process get their campaign back on track after losing their opening game.
As for the Malawians, coached by the ex-Kaizer Chiefs stalwart Patrick Mabedi, their next encounter against Zambia will be a do-or-die affair.
Kaninab walked away with the Man of the Match Award, for an overall attacking performance.
