Marumo Gallants have confirmed that former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase is training with the club but insists nothing has been agreed yet.
FARPost revealed last week that Ntshangase had joined the 2021 Nedbank Cup Champions at their pre-season camp in Rustenburg.
The club concluded their week-long camp and have returned to their usual training base in Polokwane. This publication spotted the 28-year-old training with the rest of the squad on Monday.
Club spokesperson Rufus Matsena has since given an update on the latest regarding the player’s presence at the club.
“We gave Ntshangase a chance to train with the team, so our coaches are having a look at him with the hope of reviving his career,” Matsena told FARPost.
“Everything depends on him to try and get back into the elite league.”
The club has also refuted reports that midfielder Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo has joined Orlando Pirates.
“No team has ever approached us for his services. So, to those who are spreading those allegations, please give the boy some space to focus on his game. Remember allegations like this can be disturbing to a player.
“Ndlondlo is part of our team and still has two seasons with us. So, should there be anybody who is interested they know the right channels. He is registered to play for us in the coming season,” added Matsena.
This publication also spotted Ivorian centre-forward Sede Junior Dion who is on trial at the club.
Gallants will open their 2021/22 campaign with a Limpopo derby clash against neighbours Baroka on Saturday, 21 August.
