Gallants make U-turn on Motloung, opt for Zim international

FARPost has it on good authority that Marumo Gallants technical team have decided against signing former Polokwane City defender Nicholas Motloung.

Motloung has been training with the club for the past few weeks and was part of the squad that travelled to Lebowakgomo for the Global Top four pre-season tournament.

The club had earlier indicated that the 25-year-old together with goalkeeper King Ndlovu would be signed to bolster the squad.

Ndlovu has since signed a one-year contract plus a one-year option deal while Motloung has now stopped training with the club.

This publication can confirm that ‘Bahlabane ba Ntwa’ have now opted to sign Zimbabwean international defender, Jimmy Dzingai.

The 30-year-old was part of the ‘Warriors’ squad that played at the recently concluded COSAFA Cup held in Gqeberha.

Meanwhile, former Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City right-back Mpho Mvelase is training with the club with the hope of securing a contract.

The 32-year-old will be aiming to impress the technical team led by Frenchman Sebastien Migne ahead of the 2021/22 season.
