SA Football Association president Danny Jordaan has announced that vice president Gay Mokoena will take over as chief executive on an interim basis.

This follows the confirmation by the association that former Acting CEO Russel Paul is leaving his position to go work as operations officer for the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup Local Organization Committee.

Paul had been acting CEO at SAFA since Dennis Mumble left in September 2018.

Dr Jordaan has revealed during a press briefing currently underway at SAFA house that they will appoint a permanent CEO within 3 months.
