#FARPost can confirm that Prince Opoku Agyemang will be in Cape Town in the next few days.
Described as a “goal machine” by media in the West African country, Ghana, the 27-year-old is set to join Cape Town City on what is believed to be an initial loan, with a view to make the deal permanent.
“Prince Opoku will be in Cape Town in the next few days,” said our source close to transfer dealings at Cape Town City.
This is not the first time the Medeama striker is linked with the Citizens. Earlier in the year, he was thought to be coming down to Cape Town City on loan, but at the time City chairman John Comitis stated the club was not in a position to do a deal until the end of the season.
Now, however, City appear keen on a deal after losing Kermit Erasmus, who has moved to Mamelodi Sundowns and City are searching earnestly for a replacement.
Before football was forced into a break because of Covid-19, Opoku had netted 11 goals in 14 matches for Medeama, leading to interest from Cape Town City.
Meanwhile, FARPost also reported some days ago that Zambian winger Charles Zulu has also landed in South Africa to begin his journey at Cape Town City, joining from Zanaco.
The Western Cape club has also signed Aubrey Ngoma and Terrence Mashego from Sundowns and TS Galaxy respectively.
