Big wins for AmaTuks and the Natal Richboyz as Ditau Diarora remain unbeaten on Matchday 7 of the GladAfrica Championship.
The weekend fixtures started with the newly promoted Hungry Lions surging to the top of the GladAfrica log standings, after a 1-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday afternoon.
Platinum City Rovers were toppled from their slim lead in the Championship after being mauled 4-1 by University of Pretoria. AmaTuks goals came from Tebogo Mohlamonyane, Simnikiwe Mbonde and a brace by Luvuyo Phewa.
A penalty sunk Uthongathi FC in the 55th minute to give Venda Football Academy all three points at the Thohoyandou Stadium in Limpopo.
Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila suffered a 4-0 defeat, as Siphelele Magubane, Somila Ntsundwana, Sandile Mthethwa and Vusimuzi Mngomezulu comfortably gave Richards Bay FC a resounding victory in a dominant performance at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal.
TS Sporting continued to drop points at the Soshanguve Stadium in Gauteng, as JDR bounced back from their defeat last week to beat them 2-0 courtesy of goals from on-form Malebogo Modise who scored his second goal for the club and Ishmael Wadi to move up to 5th position.
Cape Town All Stars humbled Polokwane City 1-0 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane to earn all three points.
Pretoria Callies are clawing their way out of the relegation zone after beating Jomo Cosmos 2-1 at the Tsakane Stadium. Edmore Chirambadare opened the scoring to put Callies in the lead, which was canceled out by Fernandez after Ezenkosi were awarded a penalty in the 76th minute, however Philani Cele grabbed the winner in the 89th minute as Cosmos continue to struggle to win their first game of the season.
A bottom of the table clash saw Cape Town Spurs finally registering a win this afternoon after beating Black Leopards 2-0 at the Athlone Stadium with goals coming from Diassonama Panzo Bunga and Igor de Oliveira.
