GladAfrica Wrap: Mosiatlhaga hits late winner for Ajax

Ajax Cape Town’s march to the GladAfrica Championship title continued as Abednego Mosiatlhaga’s late winner at Rand Stadium on Wednesday gave them a 1-0 victory over Richards Bay.

Mosiatlhaga, who is the GladAfrica Championship top scorer with 17 goals drilled home the winner with ten minutes remaining to send Ajax nine points clear at the top of the table on their return to action.

“The guys looked a bit nervous, they were not as confident I didn’t see the flowing football we normally play but overall we created enough chances to win the game,” said Ajax head coach Calvin Marlin after the game.

Richards Bay coach Simo Dladla says he is happy with his side’s performance despite suffering a defeat.

“I am happy with our performance, obviously disappointed with the result. We are a work in progress and I am happy with what I saw today, with the way the team is progressing in terms of controlling games.
