GladAfrica Wrap: Richards Bay move three points clear


Richards Bay moved three points clear at the summit of the GladAfrica Championship standings after beating Polokwane City 3-0 on Saturday at the UMhlathuze Sport Complex.

With the emphatic win, The Natal Rich Boyz moved up to 38 points and three clear of their closest challengers – Sekhukhune United and JDR Stars in second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile, Cape Town All Stars ended their losing streak with a 1-0 win over Jomo Cosmos on Friday to remain outside the relegation zone.

JDR Stars beat Tshwane rivals Pretoria Callies 1-0 while Free State Stars and Royal AM played out to a 1-1 draw at Goble Park.

Steenberg United edged Uthongathi 2-1 while Cape United brought an end to TS Sporting’s unbeaten run with an impressive 5-0 win at Parow Park to further boost their survival hopes.
