GladAfrica Wrap: Sekhukhune coach bemoans missed chances

Sekhukhune United carved out a number of chances this afternoon at Makhulong Stadium against TS Sporting in a GladAfrica Championship encounter but were unable to convert and had to settle for a point.

Bongumusa Dlamini opened the scoring for Sekhukhune in the 20th minute before Sporting found the equaliser from the penalty spot late in the second half.

‘Babina Noko’ head McDonald Makhubedu bemoaned the missed opportunities in their 1-1 draw but says they will take the point and remain top of the log standings at the halfway stage.

“We could have won the game, we played well but we looked fatigued a bit and I will take a point as TS Sporting are a difficult side to beat, they don’t concede much but still we could have won it,” said Makhubedu.

“I think TS Sporting gave us a tough time, they got a very valuable point but we couldn’t convert our chances.”
