It was a festival of goals in the GladAfrica Championship during the Easter weekend but for teams from KwaZulu Natal, it was rather a weekend to forget.
Either of the three teams campaigning in the GladAfrica Championship managed even a single point as they all fell to defeats in different parts of the country.
In Chatsworth Stadium, Royal AM came out second best to fellow title chasers JDR with a 1-0 score line in favor of the Gauteng side. The two sides are now tied on 31 points on the log.
Unpredictable Uthongathi FC who visited Cape Town Spurs were denied a second victory on the road as they lost 2-1 in the Mother City. The Cane Cutters missed out on an opportunity to climb to fifth on the log.
Meanwhile, Richards Bay FC slipped to second on the log after succumbing to a 3-1 defeat against Cape Umoya United in the Mother City.
Defeats for Royal AM and Richards Bay have opened the title race as JDR and Sekhukhune United gained momentum after securing victories in their respective matches over the weekend.
