Green Eagles unveil squad for new season

Zambia Super League club Green Eagles have confirmed the signing of seven new players ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

The new players include former Nkana striker Simon Mulenga, former Zanaco and Kabwe Warriors winger Mwansa Nsofwa, right back Jimmy Makena, and goalkeeper Reagan Simango.

The club confirmed the development in a press statement this week.

“Green Eagles Football Club has acquired the services of seven players permanently in a quest to beef up its squad ahead of the 2021/2022 MTN/FAZ Super League,” they said in a statement.

“The players on a permanent basis include Simon Mulenga (Striker) from Nkana, Nsofwa Mwansa (Midfielder) Buildcon, Jimmy Nakena (Right back) Lumwana Radiants, Reegan Simango (Goalkeeper) Lusaka Dynamos, Shapy Chikondi (Defender) National Assembly, Passmore Mwise (MIdfielder) Zambeef Football -Developmental and Elvis Lumbwe (Midfielder) Young Riders- Developmental.”

The club has also confirmed the departure of four players; striker Ronald Chibwe, winger Joseph Mwindilila, and defenders Benson Nzuma and Mathews Ngoma.

The Kawale Boys have also confirmed their 34-man squad registered for the 2021-2022 MTN/FAZ Super League season.

GOALKEEPERS: Kenneth Mwaanga, Justin Munyikwa, Austin Njobvu, Reagan Simaango

DEFENDERS: Bornface Sunzu, Samson Manyepa, Michael Mwenya, Andrew Kwiliko, Warren Kunda, Collins Mulenga, Boston Muchindu, Alex Mwamba, Jimmy Nakena, Shapy Chikondi.

MIDFIELDERS: Ceasor Hakaluba, George Chaloba, Jonathan Manongo, Amity Shamende, Christopher Chola, Gozon Mutale, Mukabanga Susu Siabombe, Hosea Silwimba, Emmanuel Mukosha, Godwin Chipanama, Ronnell Manyanga, Elvis Lumbwe, Mwansa Nsofwa, Passmore Mwise.

STRIKERS: Shadreck Mulungwe, Maybin Kalengo, Joseph Kanema, Lineker Mwikisa, Simon Mulenga, Anos Tembo.
