Grobler scoops four major awards

SuperSport United have acknowledged their players and technical staff members for their contribution for the 2020/21 campaign.

The 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) top goalscorer Bradley Grobler was the biggest winner of the day, having won four major awards.

Grobler finished first in the DStv Premiership goalscoring charts with 16 goals in the last season.

The 33-year-old forward walked away with the Chairman’s award, Golden Boot award, Players’ player award and the Player of the Season.

“It’s an amazing feeling winning four major awards at the great club with lots of history. I’m really glad that I’m part of that history now as the club has been so good to me for so many years,” Grobler told the media.

“Winning the Chairman’s award back to back is extremely special. You know, the Chairman is a proud man and loves his football. I have had a good relationship with him over the years and it’s always a nice feeling to make him proud. When I do well, he’s one of the first people to let me know. So, knowing that he supports me gives me a confidence booster to win the award again.

“However, winning Players’ player award is extremely special award when you have been voted the best player by the guys you have been working very hard with every week. It is something that I’ll cherish.”
