Hidroeléctrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB), the largest Mozambican company with equity capital has confirmed the continuity of the sponsorship deal with the Mozambique Premiership known as Mocambola.

The company disclosed the information in a press release most recently.

“The sponsorship contract signed by HCM and the Mozambican Football League (LMF) is valid for three years, which aims to ensure the continuity of the financial support provided to the main national football championship, Moçambola,” reads the statement.

The hydroelectric power plant has made it known that “through the contract, HCB has committed to sponsoring “Mocambola” in its editions of 2021, 2022, and 2023, in the context of the development of national football and within the scope of the objectives of the company’s corporate social responsibility, under conditions and considerations to be agreed between the parties”.

According to Lance.co.mz, the contract, the amounts of which were not disclosed, was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HCB, Boavida Muhambe, and by the President of the Mozambican Football League, Ananias Couana.

It should be noted that HCB is one of the main sponsors of “Moçambola” since 2010, and, equally, of the Mozambican Football Federation in the component of support to the national football team, the “Mambas”.
