Help Lady Pogba raise funds for Spain trip


Sasol League Royal Queens player Boitshwarelo Moaneno has aspirations of making it big in football and she’s pleading with South Africans to help her realise her dream of playing overseas.

Moaneno, from Taung in the North West Province has been invited to Spain for trials and the youngster is eager to impress Tecnificacion LH Management and start a professional career on the Iberian Peninsula.

“I am a 21 years old lady who is very passionate about football. I have been selected to be part of the European Football Academy in Spain,” said Moaneno, also known as ‘Lady Pogba’.

“The programme runs from 15th August 2021 to 15th June 2022 and in order to secure a space I am required to cover the full cost of my stay which includes:

a) The cost of visa for 10 months

b) Accommodation

c) Food for everyday (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

d) Training kit

e) License with a 4th Division female club

f) Personalized diet and training

g) Health insurance

Personalised videos and promotion of videos to Spanish clubs. This program in total costs 9,500 Euros, equivalent to R169, 000.

“My goal is to secure a space in this program, do extremely well in the program in order to find better clubs to continue my football career in Spain, and in an effort to give back to the community.

“I will use this opportunity to learn as much as I can from the academy which is both the physical skills and interpersonal skills required to do well in football career. I will then spare my time to share my skills with upcoming football players at home to prepare them for future opportunities across the world.

The midfielder added: “I will also ensure that I keep everyone up to date with my development progress and the journey of my football career development in Europe. I have a big heart and big dreams for football, and I would gladly appreciate any contribution towards helping me achieve it.

But time is not on Lady Pogba’s side as the season in Spain kicks off in August and she has until September to get to the Academy to start her trial.

Moaneno also created a go-fund platform in an attempt to raise the donations necessary to get to Spain.
