HE’S BACK: Kgoloko Thobejane finds new home

ABC Motsepe League side Passion FC have appointed Kgoloko Thobejane as their new head coach.

The ex-Baroka mentor joins for the remaining games of the ABC Motsepe league, Mpumalanga.

“The team didn’t have a good start in the league and are now sitting at position 12. We have decided to appoint coach Thobejane because we needed a coach with experience, record of winning and father model to the team,” said Passion FC in a statement.

“Coach Thobejane helped Baroka FC from their SAB league days to Vodacom (now ABC Motsepe) and from the National First Division (now GladAfrica Championship) to the Premier Soccer League – that’s a record! Passion FC also suffered a series of blows under the erstwhile coach including SAFA fines and other disciplinary issues that we believe were not related to the club but to adversity and lack of bench leadership.

“We clearly need a father figure in the midst of all the young stars that are currently in the team and most of it all we need a winning fresh approach,” Passion FC added.
