Gauteng ABC Motsepe League side Highlands Park have confirmed that striker Nathi Eric Tivane will spend 9-12 months on the sidelines after he suffered torn major ligaments on his knee.
This comes after he succumbed to a setback in their league encounter against Remember Elite Sports Academy (RESA) this past Saturday. The Lions of the North thrashed RESA 3-1 on the day to consolidate their top spot.
Tivane came off from the bench in the second half of the match to make an immediate impact and went on to find the back of the net.
“We’d like to wish our striker Nathi Eric Tivane a speedy recovery. He injured himself clashing with the opposition goalkeeper during our game over the weekend,” said the club in a statement.
ETV, as he is popularly known to his teammates, had to be immediately rushed to Linksfield Clinic to determine the severity of his injury.
“We as a club would like to thank the medical staff at Linksfield Clinic and wish Eric a speedy recovery. Come back stronger Lion!”
