Highlands v Bucs players to watch

The clash between Highlands Park and Orlando Pirates at Makhulong Stadium tonight could very well be heated.

Kick off is at 19:30.

FARPost‘s Amahle Siphungu selects some key players from either side for the game.

Peter Shalulile

Peter Shalulile is deadly in front of goal.

With 6 goals in 6 games, the Namibian international is certainly one player that the shaky Orlando Pirates defense will look to close down. He makes the runs into the box and is able to calmly finish a ball played through. When given the space Shalulile is  definitely one to punish the opposition in the final third.

Mlungisi Mbunjana

The defensive midfielder has been Man of the Match in Highlands’ last two games and would be key in stopping Bucs midfielders from making things happen.

Thembinkosi Lorch

After a failed move overseas which had his season start slow, Lorch seems to be rebuilding his previous form that won the PSL Footballer of the Season award, looking much better in his recent matches and having scored the winning goal against Stellenbosch that assisted Orlando Pirates to see them through to the TKO quarterfinals. The 26-year-old has a beautiful first touch and his movement when on the ball is unmatched often resulting to a goal.

Tshegofatso Mabasa, far right, seen here at training with Fortune Makaringe.

Tshegofatso Mabasa

The 23-year-old has hit the ground running at Orlando Pirates scoring 4 goals in 6 league matches.

Mabasa will be looking to add to his impressive tally tonight. The Former Multichoice Diski Challenge top goal scorer for the year 2017 is clinical in front of goal and is able to place himself in the right place at the right time.
