Sifiso Hlanti says Bidvest Wits plan to beat their Nedbank Cup last 32 opponents Orlando Pirates within the 90 minutes when the two sides meet at Orlando Stadium on Sunday (15:00).

Pirates are currently in form as they have won 5 consecutive Absa Premiership matches and they will be looking to progress in the Nedbank Cup last 16 to increase their chances of winning some silverware this season.

But Hlanti says they can easily match the Soweto giants pound for pound. “Me as far I know everything is determined by the game situation,” said the Bafana Bafana left back.

“They have good players you see; we also have good players. And we know what we are capable of. So, there’s no need for us to put ourselves under pressure unnecessarily,” said the Wits defender.

“We are well prepared to play against Pirates. It’s always good if people are worried about you because that makes a clear indication of what we have done as Bidvest.

“I would say Wits will win in open play, in the 90 minutes ja. We respect a team that we play against, but we know what we capable of. I have no doubt about that,” added Hlanti.

Wits were eliminated from the Caf Confederation Cup having only collected 2 points from their group stage games.

“The only thing we have, and we are concern about is to take one game at a time. We respect this game of football,” said Hlanti
