How Eagles coach plans to avoid the drop

Royal Eagles head coach Phuthi Mohafe has outlined to FARPost how he plans to save the bottom of the table club from relegation.

Eagles are currently on the basement of the GladAfrica Championship log, and Mohafe admits it will take some doing for the KwaZulu Natal based club to come out of the situation they find themselves in.

Eagles are on 14 points after 20 matches, 5 points away from safety. Mohafe also revealed that they have signed former Polokwane City and Free State Stars defender Tshepo Tema.

“Ja Tema is here, he’s been here for a week now, he played in our last game and he has helped us a lot.” Mohafe says.

“We are not scoring, we can’t defend. You see in these 11 games…we were initially targeting 18 points when it was still 12 games remaining. So, if we get 18 points then we are good,” added the Eagles mentor.
