Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly comfortably beat Esperance 3-0 at the Al Ahly WE Al Salam Stadium in a Caf Champions League semifinal second leg tie on Saturday evening.
The Cairo giants will meet Kaizer Chiefs in the final with the latter reaching the Champions League final for the first time in their history after they held the Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca to a goalless draw following their 1-0 away win in the first leg.
Ahly took the lead on the stroke of halftime through a penalty goal by Ali Maâloul before Mohamed Sherif doubled the lead in the 63rd minute with Hussein El Shahat putting the final nail in the coffin a few minutes later.
The Champions League final will be staged at the Mohamed V Stadium in Morocco on Saturday, 17 July.
