Baroka beat Chippa to move to third position


Baroka came back from a goal down at half time to secure a 2-1 win against Chippa United at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors opened the scoring through Sandile Mthethwa in the 42nd minute.

But the home side came out guns blazing in the second stanza as striker Evidence Makgopa found an equaliser in the 66th minute.

Malawi international Richard Mbulu secured maximum points for Bakgaga in the 76th minute.

Baroka jump to third position on the log with 11 points, three behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns after six matches.

Chippa drop to 12th position with five points from the same number of matches.
