Mamelodi Sundowns beat Maritzburg United 2-0 to stretch their lead at the summit of the DStv Premiership table.
Downs took the lead through Ricardo Nascimento who converted a 39th minute penalty at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria.
Gift Motupa was brought down in the box by Clayton Daniels and Nascimento made no mistake from the penalty spot.
The Brazilian also opened the scoresheet from the penalty spot on Sunday when Sundowns beat Orlando Pirates 3-0 in another Premiership encounter.
Motupa then added the second in the 71st minute when he latched onto substitute Mothobi Mvala’s pass.
The Brazilians had suffered an early blow when Themba Zwane had to be withdrawn in the 12th minute after picking an injury.
Promise Mkhuma replaced Zwane as the defending champions continued dominating possession.
Peter Shalulile came close to scoring twice immediately after the introduction of Mkhuma.
The Namibian struck the upright with a venomous shot in the 17th minute before his header from a cornerkick was saved on the line by Marcel Engelhardt a minute later.
In the second half, action was end-to-end with the visitors getting their fair share of chances, but the Nascimento-led Sundowns defence proved resolute.
The win takes Sundowns to 54 points, four ahead of resurgent AmaZulu, who play Baroka FC on Tuesday. Sundowns have a game in hand over the Durban side.
