Mamelodi Sundowns had to come from 1-0 down to secure a hard fought 2-1 win against Black Leopards at Thohoyandou Stadium on Wednesday.

Ovidy Karuru opened the scoring for the hosts in the 46th minute.

Sundowns found an equaliser through Peter Shalulile in the 63rd minute.

The Brazilians were dealt a huge blow three minutes later when Mothobi Mvala was shown a straight red card for a foul on Leopards striker Rodney Ramagalela.

But the Namibia international, Shalulile secured the maximum points in the referees optional time to take Masandawana to 30 points on the DStv Premiership log.
