Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United shared the spoils in their third encounter of the season as they played out to a 1-1 draw at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday evening.
‘The Glamour Boys’ came from behind against a determined Maritzburg side to salvage the draw.
‘The Team of Choice’ dominated proceedings in the first half with nine shots at goal and eventually opened the scoring in the 14th minute through captain Thabiso Kutumela with Chiefs’ only registering a single shot on target in the first 45 minutes.
The Soweto giants put in a much better performance in the second half and found the equaliser in the 88th minute via a Lebogang Manyama’s strike.
With the draw, Chiefs’ winless run in the DStv Premiership is extended to six matches.
