Orlando Pirates have beaten archrivals Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in their DStv Premiership encounter.
Thembinkosi Lorch scored for the Buccaneers in a match that took place at Orlando Stadium, before substitute Siphesihle Ndlovu made it two in the second half.
Daniel Cardoso pulled one back for Amakhosi, but Pirates held on.
Chiefs have no one but themselves to blame for their third defeat to Pirates this season, having lost twice to their nemesis earlier in the season in the MTN8.
Lebogang Manyama missed a big chance in the first half, much to the dismay of the Chiefs supporters.
Then, in the second half, captain Samir Nurkovic’s penalty was saved by Richard Ofori and from the rebound, Siyabonga Ngezana missed from close range.
For Pirates, it’s a big boost in their bid to fight for League honours this season and Chiefs, meanwhile, are finding the going tough.
