For the third game running, DStv Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns failed to pick three points as they produced a dull performance against Golden Arrows, a goalless draw at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Neither team were able to find the winner in a game that had few clear goal-scoring opportunities with the action – 60 percent of the encounter in the middle of the park.

‘The Brazilians’ have now failed to register a win in their last three matches – two draws and a defeat which happened to be their first of the season at the hands of Kaizer Chiefs at the weekend.

Despite their recent poor run of form, Sundowns remain at the summit of the log. While third-placed Abafana Bes’thende extend their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Meanwhile, at Cape Town Stadium, AmaZulu hammered Cape Town City 5-1, thanks to goals by Augustine Mulenga, Thapelo Xoli, Lehlohonolo Majoro, Luvuyo Memela and Siyethemba Sithebe. Fragie Lakay scored the consolidation goal for the Citizens.
