Mamelodi Sundowns were knocked out of the Caf Champions League at the quarter-final stage after a 1-1 draw against Al Ahly on Saturday afternoon at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

The ‘Red Devils’ go through to the semifinals – winning 3-1 on aggregate.

After going down 2-0 in Cairo last week, Sundowns already faced an uphill task but that was made worse when the Egyptian giants opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Ibrahim even though Musa Lebusa found the equaliser in the 30th minute.

Similar to the last campaign, Al Ahly knocked The ‘Brazilians’ out of the competition at the quarter-final to progress to the last four but this time around Pitso Mosimane was on the Egyptian side’s bench.
