SuperSport United on Tuesday night added to Kaizer Chiefs’ woes beating them 2-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Matsatsantsa scored two beautiful goals on either side of the game with striker Bradley Grobler opening the scores in the 44th minute before Sipho Mbule scored the second in the 52nd minute after being set up by Grobler.
Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama converted a penalty in the 88th minute but it was a little too late to salvage a point for Amakhosi.
Gavin Hunt rued the several chances his charges blew especially in the second half, saying they had themselves to blame. Chiefs who dominated in the first half, had to finish the game with 10 men after Philani Zulu was sent for an early shower for for a crude tackle on Gamphani Lungu in the 63rd minute.
“We had so many chances in the first half…. We could have been three or four to the good but we didn’t take them,” Hunt said in a post match interview.
His opposite number, Kaitano Tembo was happy with the result although he admitted they had a sloppy start in the first half.
“We didn’t have a good start, Chiefs were good. We had not played in three weeks and you could see we weren’t looking sharp,” he said.
