Arrows sink TTM

Golden Arrows got the better of Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.

Abafana Bes’thende defeated the in-form TTM 2-1 in a thrilling encounter.

The match was temporarily suspended due to lightning and heavy rain in the 15th minute of the first half, but the game was able to resume a few minutes later.

The visitors took the lead in somewhat fortuitous circumstances in the 25th minute of the game with a goal from Knox Mutizwa.

Vhadau Vha Damani pushed forward to add to the scoreline, as Alfred Ndengane levelled matters in the 48th minute.

However, tables turned when super-sub Siboniso Conco found the back of the net from a penalty spot in the dying minutes of the game (86’).

As a result, The KZN-based outfit moves up to second place on the table with 35 points, just one point behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.
