Kaizer Chiefs head coach Gavin Hunt has been hit with a sudden injuries and suspensions crisis ahead of the Dstv Premiership clash against Black Leopards on Wednesday.
The game will start at 15:00 in the afternoon at the Thohoyandou stadium.
Amakhosi are the wounded tigers after succumbing to a 3-0 defeat to Simba SC on Saturday in the Caf Champions League Quarterfinal second leg in Tanzania.
Hunt was not pleased with the Glamour Boys’ display over the weekend but admits that they now have to get their league form right.
“We have had one day’s training. Obviously, the game against Leopards is a big one for us. It’s another game right around the corner from the last one,” he said.
The Soweto giants are currently 11th in the league with 30 points after 27 games, while Leopards are placed at the bottom of the log with 19 points from 27 outings.
Chiefs will have to battle it out with Lidoda Duvha without the likes of Willard Katsande and Njabulo Blom who are suspended, as well as Khama Billiat, Dumisani Zuma and Lebohang Lesako who are out due to injuries.
“We have had endless problems for every game. Players have not all been available right from the start of the season. That is what it is, we just have to take this game in front of us on Wednesday. We are going to have a lot of players out on Wednesday due to suspension and injury, so we will have to work with those who are available,” concludes the 56-year-old mentor.
