Amid strong speculation of a move away from the club at the end of the season, Black Leopards forward Lesedi Kapinga insists the rumours are news to him.
It has been reported that AmaZulu, Cape Town City and SuperSport United have shown interest in the player and were ready to lure him away from Lidoda Duvha.
The 24-year-old’s contract at Leopards comes to an end in June.
“I know nothing about that (interest from clubs) and my agent has never said anything to me about that so I would not want to comment a lot on that. But if that is true it shows that people are watching and I am doing well but at the end of the day you can’t be on a comfort zone when you play so I try and be a better player everyday,” said Kapinga.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a good season for me, yes I have scored 5 goals which is a nice thing but obviously when you do something in terms of scoring and playing well you have to benefit the team and so far if you check on the log we are not in a safe position,” he added.
Leopards have reportedly also offered Kapinga a new contract extension but the player is yet to agree.
He joined Lidoda Duvha from their neighbours Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at the beginning of last season.
