Orlando Pirates loanee Tebogo Tlolane has revealed that he is not obsessed about going back to the Buccaneers.
The 25-year-old was loaned out to the Team of Choice until the end the season.
He was deemed surplus to requirements after the arrival of coach Josef Zinnbauer. Since his arrival at Maritzburg, Tlolane has been dishing out decent performances under coach Eric Tinkler.
“You know sometimes in football you can’t count your chickens before they hatch. So you never know where life could lead you,” said Tlolane.
“I could be here at Maritzburg at the end of the season, I could find myself overseas. The dream is to go bigger, the dream is to play for bigger teams,” said Tlolane when asked about going back to Pirates.
“So if I go back to Pirates I will fight again, if it doesn’t happen I will take anything that comes because in football you don’t burn your bridges, plus you don’t count your chickens before they hatch. You never know what’s gonna happen tomorrow. So wherever I play, as long as I play football at the top level, for me I’m much happier.”
Tonight, Tinkler will look to the likes of Tlolane to lead the sixth placed Team of Choice when they welcome Stellenbosch FC at Harry Gwala Stadium at 8pm.
Maritzburg have a chance to move to fourth on the Absa Premiership table.
“It’s a big one. The coach has emphasised how big this game is. Actually how big the next 3 games are. We win all 3 games, we cement our place in the top eight,” added Tlolane.
