Orlando Pirates and Zambian international striker Justin Shonga has distanced himself from football agent Mike Ngobeni.
The Zambian who has struggled for game time at Pirates this season told FARpost that he is not represented by Ngobeni and that he is happy at the club right now.
The former Nkwazi FC striker was responding to a national newspaper report where Ngobeni alleged that the player was not happy at Pirates and that he wanted to leave during this January transfer window which closes on Friday 31st January and that there were offers on the table from Portugal and Israel.
“First and foremost I am not Mike Ngobeni’s player. I am represented by P Management (owned by Karabo Mathang) They are the ones who brought me here and they are the ones looking after my interests,” said Shonga.
“Secondly I am happy here at Pirates. You know we can’t all play at the same time and I know my time and opportunity will come and I will grab that chance. For now I am supporting my teammates who are playing and the team is doing well. We are all happy,” added Shonga.
“As I have said I will wait for my time and opportunity and I will grab it. Above all there are no offers at the moment and I am still an Orlando Pirates player,” the former Nkwazi FC player told FARpost.
