“I’m happy to play for a team with such great history.” Bongani Zungu
After completing his quarantine period Bafana Bafana midfielder Bongani Zungu was officially unveiled by Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers on Wednesday morning.
Speaking to the club’s official website the 28-year-old expressed his delight at joining the club “First of all thank you very much, it means a lot to me I’m very happy to be here to play for a team with such great history and the most successful team in the world so I’m very happy to be here,” said Zungu
“When I was young in South Africa growing up my daddy used to speak to me and my brothers about the club so I had an idea of the club and I knew about Rangers and right now of cause when the team was interested in me I did my research and realised it was such a huge club so yeah now I know quite a few things about the club,” he concluded
Zungu joins Rangers on a season loan from French Ligue 2 side Amiens and the former Scottish Champions have an option to make the midfielder’s stay at ‘Ibrox Park’ permanent at the end of the 2020/21 season.
