Harry Kane scored a brace in Tottenham Hotspurs 3-1 win over Newcastle at St James Park on Wednesday evening to reach the milestone of 200 goals in all competitions at club level.
It only took the England captain 350 games to score 201 goals, with 185 of them for Tottenham.
Jose Mourinho, who won his first Premier League (PL) game at St James Park as a manager hailed Kane’s contribution and commitment with the win at Newcastle boosting Spurs European qualification hopes.

“Harry Kane knows how important he is, he is incredible. After such a difficult recovery he is playing every minute of every game, this is the fourth game within two days, we are the only team to have this, and Harry gave everything,” said Mourinho.
Spurs moved up to seventh place on the log standings with 55 points, one behind sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race for a Europa League spot with only two games remaining.
“It’s a massive win. We probably didn’t have our A-game, but we managed to find a way and we’re delighted with the three points,” said Kane.
“201 in 350 league games – that’s not bad. It’s nice to get to that milestone but the points are the most important thing. Hopefully, I’ll get a couple of more before the season ends,” he added.
