French Ligue 1 club RC Strasbourg Alsace have confirmed that South African striker Lebo Mothiba will be out for five months after hurting his knee.
This will be a setback for Mothiba who had started preseason well scoring a goal and having an assist in the first three games so far for Strasbourg.
“It’s a problem with a tendon in his knee that he’s had for a while, and we’d rather fix it once and for all,” revealed Strasbourg coach Thierry Laurey.
“We hope he will come back “new”, without recurring problems … We will already work with the boys who are fit. And we will see in the next few weeks whether to recruit or not, without rushing.” He said.
The striker will hope to be back in action as soon as possible as he hopes to have a good 2020/21 season to better his tally of three goals last season in the French top flight.
