What’s next for unattached Yagan Sasman? Agent gives latest update

Yagan Sasman is currently unattached after he parted ways with the Swedish club AFC Eskilstuna and his agent Gary Cassisa has given the latest update on the search for a new club.

Following his Moroka Swallows exit, Sasman joined Eskilstuna when the club was still in the second tier during the second half of the season last year.

He left when they were relegated at the end of the campaign, where they finished 16th with 31 points in 30 games. Sasman contributed with one assist in three appearances he made during his time with the club.

Eskilstuna now ply their trade in Sweden’s Division 1 in the North Stream.

Sasman’s agent Gary Cassisa of Mede 8 Sports has confirmed that they are currently in talks with Swedish clubs as the player desires to remain in Sweden.

However, a return to the DStv Premiership is not out of the question if a suitable offer arises.

“He is back here now but we’re busy with talks with clubs in Sweden to see which club he’s gonna go to,” Cassisa told FARPost.

“Unless there’s a PSL club that comes with an offer, saying they want him.

“But he wants to go back to Sweden.”

The left-footer cut his professional teeth in 2014 after graduating from the youth structures of the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town. He experienced relegation to the second tier with Urban Warriors at the end of the 2017/18 season.

And having spent 12 years with the Western Cape outfit, Sasman switched to Kaizer Chiefs at the beginning of the 2019/20 campaign.

He made 33 appearances and netted three goals in the Gold and Black shirt of the Glamour Boys. He departed the club and went on to sign for the next-door side Moroka Swallows before he eventually secured a move to Sweden.
