Thorgan Hazard who produced a man of the match performance against his former club Borussia Monchengladbach to help Borussia Dortmund win 2-1 on Saturday at Borussia-Park jokingly said teenage striker Erling Haaland ‘’needs to assists more, he scores too much.”
With a smile on his face, Hazard went to say, “Sometimes it’s good also to give assists.”
Hazard scored Dortmund’s first goal through a Haaland first Bundesliga assist as their side secured three vital points in the title race and leapfrog RB Leipzig into second place, four points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich.
“Last time I gave him [Haaland] one, so now it’s okay, it’s 1-1. And next time I will give him one again.”
Ever since Haaland joined Dortmund, he has scored nine goals in just seven appearances.
