Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic says it felt good to represent his country once more again following their 1-0 win over Georgia in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

Ibrahimovic set up the winner for Viktor Claesson just 10 minutes before half-time.

The 39-year-old goal poacher’s return made him the oldest player to ever represent Sweden.

“It felt like it was my first international match. It was a lot of adrenaline,” Ibrahimovic told Sverige Radio.

“I think I could have done a lot more, but we won the match, and that is the most important thing.”

The veteran striker was unable to register his name on the scoresheet before he was substituted in the 84th minute.

Janne Andersson’s side will now take on Kosovo in the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday, 28 March before facing Estonia in an international friendly game three days later.
